7 months. Say what???

Well I figured you have waited long enough. I will put you out of your misery and update you on our exciting lives right now and what's going on with our sweet baby boy!

First off, Cambric will be 7 months tomorrow. SEVEN MONTHS! What? That's over half a year old. Where has the time gone? I feel like just yesterday I was hearing him scream his way into this world. Mommy-hood has been amazing. I love watching him grow and learn every day. Even though he is growing out of some stinking cute clothes and learning how to thrown temper tantrums. It's all good.
Here's a pic of one of most recent fits.
CrAzY!
Ok so here's what's going on with my boy:
At his last checkup, which was almost a month ago, he was 19.9lbs and 29in. He's a big boy. A big boy that is killing my back. He still is such a happy baby. Even though lately he has had his moments of being Mr. Cranky Pants, he is still such a happy boy. His teachers told me the day we got out for Christmas break that he was such a good baby and that I am blessed to have such a happy boy! I was all like "Uh Ya! Duh! I knew that!" Just kidding! I do know that but sometimes I think that I just have on my mommy goggles and I only see the good in Cambric. So it feels AMAZING hearing other people tell me what an awesome kid I have!

We started playing around with solids. We've done oatmeal, avocado, sweet potatoes, apples, and bananas. He doesn't care for it one bit. It's been over a month and frankly he just wants the milk. Now thats the good stuff! ;) Hey I'm not complaining. One of the bonuses of breastfeeding for me is that I am   almost 10lbs under my pre-pregnancy weight. Hey I might just keep feeding him the mommy milk till he's like 10! What? Too long? ;)

Oh and what comes with solids? STINKY TOOTS! My goodness that boy is about as bad as his daddy. ;) Although it's quite funny when he toots because he laughs. He is definitely ALL boy! But do you know what is not funny? When I'm holding him and I bend over and he toots. Like seriously child? Really? Does he not know how bad that looks? Or sounds I guess you could say.

Speaking of stinky....I just had to pause to go change a MASSIVE blow out! That's another thing solids hasn't helped.

Anyways. Here's what's going on with me:
I am tired. ALL. THE. TIME. Ok I lie. I'm only tired about 75% of the time. And really it's not Cambric that keeps me tired. It's 22 First graders that ask a lot of questions and tattle tale a lot. But boy do I love them. They are just getting me ready for when I will hear Cambric start asking "But why?" a million times a day. I kinda can't wait...kinda. I live in a messy house and don't cook dinner as much as I used to but that's ok because I'm spending my time home loving on my sweet boy. Well I cook but its not my 2 hour meals like it used to be. Man I miss those meals. All you that are super mom's that have a clean house, cook dinner, work full time, and still spend most of your time at home with your kids, GO YOU. But I'm ok with not being "Martha Tuttle" anymore. Kinda ok. I'm slowly getting back in the groove of things. Oh and did I mention I went to the Doctor for my yearly check-up today and she said my uterus looked amazing and I am ready for my next child. I laughed. And so did she.  Ya know I used to DREAD those appointments but I guess after you know someone has seen you in all your glory and delivered your child, its just not that bad anymore.

Ok well I got a fussy boy who is tired of being in the "neglectisizer" and homemade potato soup cooking for my sick hubby that I need to finish. Until next time..... I don't know what but just don't miss me too much! ;) Here are some photos we had done last month by my wonderful friend Lyndsey Shillings.
