10 months!

10 months old today! TEN MONTHS OLD! I can't believe we are almost at the year mark. It seems like just yesterday that I was sucking on popsicles waiting for my doctor to say it was time...and yet at the same time I feel like he has been in our lives forever.

In case you haven't met Cambric or you aren't around him a lot he is quite the handful. Happy Happy Happy...but a handful. He is all over the place right now and he's not even walking. Although he does enjoy walking around the living room pushing the end tables and the high chair. He refuses to stand up without holding onto something though so I guess we still have a little bit till he starts actually walking....and making me more tired than he already is.
He was mad because it got stuck on the chair

He now has 8 teeth. 4 up top and 4 on bottom. And praise the Lord we haven't felt the effects of any of them. I'm sure if you follow all my Instagram pictures you have seen Cambric wear his teething necklace. That necklace is amazing. When we were about 3-4 teeth in, I was still a little skeptical but now that he has 8 and the only day he was fussy was the day that I sent him to school without it, I am now a believer in it.    Just ask his daycare teachers. They told me I'm never allowed to forget it again! haha And to think, I was going to make him stop wearing it because people like to be rude and give me a hard time for putting a necklace on my boy. Well all those people can kiss my booty cause it is staying on him.

Cambric likes to use those new teeth to chomp away on big boy food. We decided to go the "Baby Led Weaning" way cause he just wasn't into pureed foods. He loves chicken and green beans. It's his fav. Oh and strawberries. He chomps away at them. The only problem is he is a little chipmunk and hoards it away in his mouth. I find food in his mouth like 30 minutes after he has eaten.
Spaghetti is a favorite too!

Cambric is still going strong on breastfeeding. Can I just toot my own horn for a second? Today I was thinking "Wow, 10 months of breastfeeding!" Looking back to that first month I didn't think I would make it past 2 months let alone 10. I plan on weaning this summer but I have a feeling it will NOT be easy. The other day Cambric had a big meal of chicken and green beans (his fav), oranges, and a baby cookie with some water to wash it down. I went to pick him up and he just about attacked me. He still roots like a crazed hungry newborn. I might just be one of those ladies you see on Dr. Phil because my son is 9 years old and still breast feeding.

We celebrated our first Easter as a family this past week. We spent Saturday at Troy's parents where his Granny read him an Easter story & had a small egg hunt....or I guess you could say it was more of a "put a bunch of eggs around the baby and let him go for it" hunt. He LOVES playing with ball type things. That also goes for in the tub too! ;) BOYS! Then on Easter we went to Aunt Kim's in the country and ate a lot and spent time outside swinging and trying to stay away from Aunt Wendy's bull. Oh that was of course after his first Easter service at church. I don't know if I have mentioned this before but he LOVES to hear Troy play the drums on Sunday. the moment they start playing, Cambric starts squealing and kicking. He used to do the same in my tummy! ;)  Anyways it was a special Easter. I can't wait till he is a little older and I can sit and do all the fun Easter activities that I remember my mom doing with my brothers and I when we were little.

Cambric constantly has me on my toes and I am constantly learning new things. Recently I learned something not necessarily from him but just from being a mommy. Every parent has a different way of raising and parenting their children. There are so many different methods out there, that there is no way we can all agree with one another. Therefore we all just need to support one another and keep any negative opinions to ourself. Us mommy's have a lot on our backs. The last thing we need is another mom making us feel bad for how we decided to raise our child. I am a breast feeding, co-sleeping, no cry it out, rear facing till a least 2 years old, baby-wearing momma and its ok that you aren't too. Some of those things may even change with my second child.  We are all doing whats best for our babies. Let's just leave it at that. ;)

Anyways, I know this wasn't the greatest blog post ever but I wanted to kind of update on my sweet handsome little man!  And here are some pictures to swoon over...

Cambric had RSV last month...we do not like RSV!

The week of RSV was a rough week. It also involved his first boo boo.

At cousin Tiffany's wedding

Mom, I am going to need you to hurry and get out of the shower so I can hang on you like a spider monkey!
